The Building Pad...

Once the forest was cleared out, we had to cut the "muck" out about a foot deep and bring in soil suitable for compressing into a solid base for the foundation. But before we got to do all that, we got our building permit and port-a-potty. If you are viewing this with your eyes open, you're not seeing things...that is Georgia red clay...152 dump truck loads of it!!!

Putting our building permit in our box.

We had to build a path for the trucks to bring in the dirt.

You missed a spot...

We have dirt...and it's dry!!!

Whoa big fella... that's close enough.

Gotta go...gotta go...gotta go right now...

Yup...the potty's leaning...and we can prove it!!

Yup...there's water down there...

Whaddya mean you don't remember where you parked?

That truck weighs in at over 54,000 pounds...

Would you buy used dirt from someone like this?

Jus' out walking my stick...
